Adam’s Biography

Born in South Shields, Adam began his career in the youth set-up at Newcastle United before moving on to sign for Darlington where he made his league debut. He made 17 league appearances in his two years at the club and then moved to Cumbria to sign for Roddy Collins at Carlisle United on 1 January 2003. He played for Carlisle until they were relegated at the end of the 2003/04 season, at which point he came to Ireland where he re-joined Collins at Dublin City and scored three times in 8 league appearances for the Vikings.

It was during his time with the Vikings that Rundle met former England international Carlton Palmer who he signed for at Mansfield Town in January 2005. He spent one year at the club and made 53 league appearances but he left to join Rochdale in January 2006. Adam spent three and a half years at Rochdale, amassing 148 league and cup appearances. A brief loan spell at Rotherham United in November 2009 preceded a permanent move away from Rochdale in February 2010 when his contract was terminated by mutual consent.

Adam's next port of call was Chesterfield and spells at Morcambe (on loan), Gateshead and Darlington followed. He joined Darlington for the second time in July 2011 but played on a non contract basis since January 2012 when the club were forced to release their entire playing staff due to financial pressures.

On 28 January 2013 Adam signed for Tommy Dunne at Cork City. He made his City debut as a substitute in a 4-0 home win over Cliftonville in the Setanta Cup and went on to make 12 league appearances - 8 as a sub - before leaving the club in July 2013.
