Kaspars is a centre back who played for JFK Olimps in their 2008 UEFA Cup tie against St Patrick's Athletic. He then played for BATE Borisov during the 2015/16 Champions League campaign where they faced Dundalk FC. He was still at the club when they faced Dundalk in the Third Qualifying Round of the Champions League in the 2016/17 edition.
