Roy’s Biography
Roy is a central midfielder who was a member of the Cork City U19 squad for the 2012/2013 season before signing for Cobh Ramblers U19s on 8 January 2013. Roy was also included in Dave Hill's senior squad when Cobh were re-admitted to the Airtricity League prior to the 2013 season and he made his League of Ireland debut in Cobh's 4-3 defeat by Longford Town on 30 March 2013. His first senior goal came, somewhat ironically, in a 4-3 win over Longford later in the season and he made 15 league appearances as Ramblers finished second bottom of the First Division. In 2014 Roy played in 17 or the club's first nineteen league matches but an injury in the defeat to Galway FC in July prematurely ended Roy's season and he left the club shortly afterwards.
