Shelbourne won the race to sign Jake from Home Farm and he quickly became an important member of the Shelbourne U19 squad for the 2012/2013 season, with Jake deciding to stay on with the U19s for 2013/14 as well.

Dylan appeared six times as an unused substitute as Shels were relegated from the Premier Division in 2013 and was named in Johnny McDonnell's first team squad for the club's 2014 campaign in the First Division. He made his league debut against Cobh Ramblers on 18 April 2014 and scored his first senior goal in a 3-0 win over Wexford Youths in June. By the end of the season Jake had made 12 league appearances and scored one goal.

Jake re-signed for Shelbourne for the 2015 season and went on to make seventeen league appearances for the Reds as they finished fourth in the First Division table. In December 2015, Jake left the club for Aungier Celtic.
