Brian’s Biography

Brian is a defender who played for College Corinthians in the Munster Senior League prior to signing for Cork City in July 2012. He made his debut for the Rebels against St Patrick's Athletic on 13 August 2012 and made 3 league appearances that year. In 2013 Brian made just 3 more league appearances, all as a substitute.

2014 turned out to be a break through year for Brian. John Caulfield came in as the new manager at the start of the season and, due to injuries to most of his fullbacks, played Brian at right back. He went on to play twenty league games for Cork as they were attempting a title chase. Bids were then accepted by Cork from Brighton & Hove Albion and Hull City in August 2014. On August the 30th, it was announced that Brian was joining Hull City on a three-year deal.

Soon after, Brian went on to join Championship side Blackpool on a one-month loan deal in November 2014. He went on to make two league appearances before his spell was cut short by injury.

Brian has previously been called up to the Republic of Ireland u21 squad.
