Dean’s Biography

Dean is a former St. Francis player who signed for Shamrock Rovers U19 squad in the summer of 2011. Dean plays either in the centre of midfield or up front. He has an U13 Premier league winner’s medal under his belt and has come close to winning other honours having two All-Ireland runner’s up medals to his credit.

In July 2013 Dean went on loan to First Division Longford Town and made his club debut in a scoreless draw with Finn Harps on 12 July. He went on to make 7 league appearances for Tony Cousins' side, scoring once, in a later 3-1 win over Harps. Dean's next outing with a LoI side was also in the midlands when he played for Athlone Town in a summer friendly against Dundee United in July 2014.

Dean featured regularly on the bench, coming off it a few times, for Athlone Town before leaving the club in September 2014 to join Collinstown FC.

In January 2015 Dean returned to Athlone during their pre-season series of matches but didn't sign for the club. He would make a return to the First Division though, as he signed for Cabinteely FC in July 2015 and he played in a 3-1 defeat to UCD on July 31st. However, it turned out that he was in fact ineligble to play that match with Cabinteely receiving a fine for their mistake. Dean returned to Collinstown FC soon afterwards and then moved on to Bluebell United before rejoining the professional ranks with a surprise move to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the SPL in January 2017.

After returning home to Ireland during the summer of 2017, Dean played with Bluebell for the first few months of the 2017/18 season before securing a surprise move to Welsh champions TNS.

In January 2024 Dean returned to the League of Ireland, signing for Athlone Town.
