Tony’s Biography

Tony played with Derry City's U19 side in 2011/12 and joined the senior team for their pre-season preparations in 2012. Tony made the bench for the first team once in the 2011 season, as an unused substitute against Bohemians in October. He continued to play with the U19s as well as with Derry's reserve side in the Ulster Senior League but his involvement in the senior side was limited, making just 1 further league appearance in 2013 as a substitute in the 6-0 win over UCD. Tony left Derry in August 2014 without making any further league appearances for the Candystripes and signed for Irish League side Glenavon on 25 August 2014.

Tony's spell north of the border was a brief one and in November 2014 he signed for Ollie Horgan at Finn Harps ahead of their 2015 First Division campaign. He went on to make twenty-five league appearances, scoring three goals in the process, before going on to play in all four play-offs as Finn Harps were promoted to the Premier Division after overcoming UCD and Limerick.

Tony then signed for Swilly Rovers in December 2016 after playing 60 games during his 2 seasons with the club.

In December 2020, Tony re-signed with Finn Harps having played 15 times during the 2020 season but that spell lasted only untilJuly 2021. He next appeared in Harps colours in June 2023 when he returned for another stint with the Donegal club.
