Fiona’s Biography

Fiona began her career playing college soccer for the University of San Fransisco Dons from 2004-07. She then played for Sonoma County Sol and California Storm in the WPSL during and after college. She was selected by Chicago Red Stars in 2010 WPS Draft but was cut short from the roster soon after and played for California Storm for the season instead.

Fiona joined Swedish club AIK Fotboll Dam in July 2010 before joining new side Pitea IF in January 2011. She was on the move soon again though, joining Kvarnsvedens IK, who played a division below Pitea IF, on loan for the rest of the season in June 2011. She then moved to French club ASJ Soyaux in December 2011 as they were halfway through the 2011/12 season.

After Soyaux were relegated at the end of their season, Fiona joined Bundesliga side SC Freiburg in July 2012. She spent two seasons in Germany before moving to Notts County in the WSL in England in June 2014. She spent one-and-a-half seasons there before becoming assistant coach of the San Fransisco Dons towards the end of 2015.

Fiona has previously been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad and, ahead of the matches with Montenegro and Spain, has 43 caps.
