Laurence ’s Biography
Lawrence is a central defender from Co Mayo who started his career at Sheffield United but quickly moved on to Liverpool where he joined their academy, eventually going on to captain their U18 side.
In June 2007 he left Liverpool to sign for Celtic but he subsequently moved on to Sheffield FC and then Eastwood Town. In the summer of 2010 he had a short stint in the US with Ventura County Fusion before returning to England for trials at various clubs.
In December 2010 Lawrence joined Oxford United in League Two of the English league where he remained until the end of the 2010/11 season, at which point he returned to Ireland to sign for Alan Mathews at Shelbourne.
In August 2011 Laurence signed for Sean Connor at Galway United. He made his debut for the Tribesmen on 5 August in a 3-0 home defeat to Derry City and went on to make 8 league appearances over the latter half of the season.
