Vinny’s Biography

Vinny developed his career at Dungarvan United before moving to Glasgow Celtic and then on to Livingston. He returned home from Scotland in 2002 when he signed for Waterford United and helped the Blues to the 2002/03 First Division title, scoring thirteen goals along the way.

Sullivan spent 2006 at Cork City before returning to Waterford United for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He took a break from football the following year to concentrate on playing with Dungarvan GAA club but returned to the RSC for a third spell in August of 2009.

Sullivan was a key member of the Blues forward line through 2010 scoring eleven league goals as they narrowly failed to gain promotion to the Premier Division following a semi-final play-off defeat over two legs to Monaghan United.

In January of 2011 Sullivan signed up far a second spell at Cork City and scored six league goals in 29 appearances as the Rebels won the First Division title. The following year saw Vinny score eleven times in the league, making 28 league appearances as City achieved a comfortable mid-table finish on their return to the Premier Division. In January 2013 he returned to Waterford United, signing up for a third spell at the RSC. He netted six league goals that year and made 24 league appearances but failed to find the net in 2014 when he added another 23 league appearances to his career tally.

Vinny has won International caps for the Republic of Ireland at U 17's level.
