The game has ended between Shelbourne FC and DLR Waves.
A great ending to a really entertaining game of football - DLR Waves can feel aggrieved that they let this one slip by but there are plenty of positives to take from this one. Report to follow shortly!
TWO MINUTES OF ADDED TIME!
Carla McManus (DLR Waves) scores.
WHAT A GOAL!
Carla McManus puts her name up in lights as he scores from almost 50 yards out to beat Amanda Budden in the Shels goal! WHAT A STRIKE! GAME ON!
Emily Whelan goes close again - but she just sees her effort go over the bar, much to the relief of Eve Badana in the DLR Waves goal.
We have a brief break in play as a DLR Waves player receives treatment. I think it was Carla McManus but she should be OK to continue..
Rachel Doyle goes close for the visitors, but her shot is blocked by a Shelbourne defender - Waves are piling on the pressure...
DLR Waves have been on top in the last couple of minutes - but they have not really troubled Amanda Budden in the Shelbourne goal since Cronin's chance.
Noelle Murray (Shelbourne FC) scores from the penalty spot.
SHELS MAKE IT TWO!
Noelle Murray slots home from the spot as Mark Moynihan adjudged there to have been a handball from a Waves defender. I may need to see that again but it didn't look like it. 2-0 Shels anyway!
Eve Badana produces a top class save to deny Jamie Finn - as she tips her goalbound effort over the bar!
CLOSE FOR WAVES!
Catherine Cronin turns and shoots but Budden gets across well to save. The chance was made possible by some excellent attacking play from Nadine Clare - Still 1-0 to the hosts but Waves will be buoyed by that opening..
Emily Whelan gets on the end of a long ball from deep, and blazes her effort just over the bar. Had Whelan put that a few inches lower that was finding the back of the net...
Not long to go before we reach the break, and Waves can be pleased with their perfomance so far - but Shels' touch of class up front is the difference so far...
Mark Moynihan looks to have confused himself there - he awarded Shels a corner then awarded a Waves a goal-kick. EIther way it was a goal-kick, to stop you from getting confused...
Emily Whelan (Shelbourne FC) scores.
GOAL FOR SHELS!
EMily Whelan pounces on a brilliant through ball from Jess Ziu - and she makes no mistake from just inside the penalty area, lifting the ball over Eve Badana.. 1-0 to the Reds!
Catherine Cronin broke free on the left wing but she was soon crowded out by some great Shels defending - with Jamie Finn clearing well..
Emily Whelan just can't get enough on her header from on a cross from the right flank - approaching the half-hour and the game is opening up a bit more...
Mark Moynihan is of course the referee this afternoon...
Little to report on during the last couple of minutes - but the game is remaining at the same pace. Shels are enjoying more of the possession also..
CLOSE FOR SHELS!
Jessica Ziu gets on the end of a low cross but she can only pull her effort wide of goal. She ought to have made more of that opening. Better from Noel King's side however!
A good opportunity for Waves again as Malone pounces on a mispalcved touch from Jess Stapleton - but she can't make enough of her chance. Still scoreless...
A cross from the left wing just goes over the Shels bar - as Waves continue to show their quality. Katie Malone is leading the line very well.
Chance for Waves!
Katie Malone gets on the end of a long ball - but her shot has too much on it and goes over Amanda Budden's bar - DLR have been very good so far.
Saoirse Noonan has impressed so far with some deft touches - although she has been unable to carve out an opportunity for her side so far. This has been a fonely balanced game in the opening ten minutes..
DLR Waves have started quite well and are pressing the hosts with intent in the early stages of the game. Graham Kelly will be happy with his side's start thus far!
Republic of Ireland manager Vera Pauw is at Tolka Park this afternoon along with her assistant Jan Williams. Mark Scanlon is also here from the FAI - nothing to report on in the game so far...
Good afternoon all and welcome to Tolka Park as Shelbourne host DLR Waves. Apologies for the delay in getting set up - had a travel related issue to contend with but here we are..
