Great challenge from Ann Marie Byrne in the box to save a certain goal after McKey set up Kearns in the box. Kearns came down awkwardly however and is currently receiving treatment.

BOhemians are starting to come into this game and have been camped in the Galway half for the last few minutes. Galway are defending resolutely though and there's been no clear chance for the visitors yet.
Kearns came close once again here in Galway. The forward dispoosessed Chloe Flynn on her way to the goal but she seemed to kick the ground and sent the ball wide.

Bohemians will be dissapointed as, despite howe well they've been defending, two slip ups at the back have cost the visitors dearly today.
Galway should have just added their third just now. Chloe SIngleton, who has been very impressive all day just took off on another powerful run before playing the ball to McKey who found Kearns in front of the goal with a cross. Kearns blazed the ball over the bar however.

Kate Slevin (Galway WFC) scores. Another Bohemians error has lead to a Galway goal. Another long ball from the Galway midfield was claimed by Chloe Flynn just outside the box. The defender turned to play the ball back to Coombes but she lost her footing while turning. Kearns saw another opportunity and got her foot on the ball forcing Coombes further off her line to clear. The ball only got as far as Slevin and the midfielder made no mistake from long range.
Rachel Kearns (Galway WFC) scores. Kearns earns her reward after a long hopeful ball from the centre of the park by Lynsey McKey. The forward chased the ball down until a misunderstanding between Jade Reddy and Niamh Coombes saw goalkeeper and defender collide, releasing the ball right in front of goal to let the striker roll the ball into the net.
Given that the sides scored 9 goals between them last weekend. It's been surprisingly quiet during this first half in terms of chances.

Heading into this weekend's games Galway's Rachel Kearns is leading the goalscoring charts after the Mayo GAA star netted thre times in the first half last weekend. She'll be looking to add to her tally for the season as she leads teh line for Galway again this weekend.
