Cracking game at Richmond Park tonight, the home side deserved their three points after getting a first half goal and then defending with great disipline for over 30 mins in the second half. Derry were magnificent for the last 30 mins as they had the bulk of the possession and tried valiantly to prise an opening but just could not force an equaliser .

Derry camped in Pats half, they are trying to break them down but nobody seems to be able to create the opening they require
Great header from a corner by Toal , unlucky that it come off the crossbar, Derry taking advantage of Lennon's red card and driving at the home defence at every opportunity
That is three red cards for Pats in two games , they will do well to hold their 1-0 lead now with only 10 men

Great chance for Derry to equalse, one of their strikers has a free header in from of the goal but he puts it wide.
Derry trying hard to respond to that goal but they are getting no change from Barrett and Bone at the back for Pats
Pats take a deserved lead, they have better in their approach to the attacking element of their play in contrast to Derry who tend to go long at times
Burns starts another attack for Pats, the ball ping pongs around the box before Forrester swivels and blasts the ball in to the net
Another excellent attack by Burns , he runs from the half way line and forces Garthside to make a save
This has been a very even game so far, both teams have had plenty of the ball but both defenced are well on top.
Darragh Burns looking very threatening for Pats on the right flank, he has put in a no of crosses that have caused trouble at the back for Derry
Great run and shot by Junior, Clarke has to be sharp to avert an early goal for Derry.Junior picks up an injury while shooting but he should be ok to continue

Neil Doyle is the referee in charge tonight . Its another dry calm evening for Friday night football and this time we have 500 home supporters at the match which should add greatly to the atmosphere.
Derry City have two changes from last week's win over Waterford. Evan McGlaughlin and Joe Thompson are out with Darren Cole and Jack Malone coming in to the starting eleven.
The team sheets are in and Pats show three changes from last week's defeat to Bohs. Lee Desmond and Ian Bermingham are suspended while Billy King drops to the bench. There are starts for Paddy Barrett,Ronan Coughlan and Jason McClellend.
