Lee Grace fouls Junior and Regan Donelon puts in the free kick into the Hoops box. Thought that should have been a corner for the visitors but referee Paul McLaughlin gives a goal kick.

Ronan Coughland with a header off Lewis Bank's centre that should have been the equaliser but he puts it straight at a thankful Alan Mannus. 

Lewis Banks with a lung busting run from deep into the box and a late challenge that could have been lung busting on Alan Mannus. The Hoops 'keeper was brave to slide out and win the ball against the Bit O'Red's right back.

David Cawley's long ball sends Jese Devers into the penalty area but Alan Mannus is out quickly to catch.

Lewis Banks does work Alan Mannus with a shot from 30 yards. Mannus does well to hold onto it.

Nice one-two between Ronan Coughlan and Ryan De Vries allows Coughlan shoot goalwards. He should have really worked Alan Mannus there.

Sustained spell of pressure from the home team ends with Rhys Marshall sprinting up the right beating two Sligo Rovers players and toe poking it to Graham Burke. His shot doesn't have enough curl to come back in and hit the back of the net.

Pico Lopes who was as a half-time in Harps is not in the squad today - presumably due to injury as Stephen Bradley had spoken about a few knocks in the camp ahead of this match.

4-4-2 for Coach Buckley it seems with Ronan Coughlan partnering Ryan De Vries.

From the quarter-final win, the Hoops have made two changes as Aaron Greene is injured and drops out of the match day squad and Danny Lafferty drops to the bench. Rhys Marshall and Sean Kavanagh come in. LIkely Ronan Finn will push into centre midfield as Marshall takes up the wing back role as that is what the Hoops have done in a few recent games.

Two changes for the visitors from their shootout win over Derry City as Jesse Devers and Niall Morahan return from suspension. Alex Cooper and Will Seymore drop to the bench. 

Greg Bolger is named on the bench for the home team along with 17-year-old sub goalkeeper Killian Cahill (Cahill has yet to play in the Premier or First Division). Aaron Green is injured so Graham Burke likely to start up top for the Hoops. Glenn Cronin is noted as the Hoops Head Coach as Stephen Bradley is suspended.

Good afternoon from a sunny Tallaght Stadium. This morning's cloud has burned off and it is a bright 10 degree day in Dublin 24. Macdara Ferris here for Shamrock Rovers' last home game of the season and for what will be there last game if they lose to Sligo Rovers. The Bit O'Red are looking to make their first FAI Cup Final for seven years. They beat Drogheda United in that 2013 final.
