A late free-kick from Enda Curran managed to beat the wall but Odumosu wasn't fooled and got down to make the save.

The lack of updates is a result of the life draining from this game after the sending off and the third goal for Drogheda. Not much of note happening at either end for the most part.
ADam Wixted has a go from outside the box with Schlingermann needing to get down low to bat the ball away. Nugent mops up for his goalkeeper and clears the ball away.
Substitute Conor Barry fancied his chances on the run from long distance with a rasper of a shot. Odumosu was forced into making a diving save to keep the ball from the net.
Brandon Bermingham (Drogheda United) scores. It was James Browne who took the ball down the flank once again, before playing the ball in. The ball deflected out as far as Bermingham who had his pick of where he wanted the ball to go and smashed the ball into the back of the net.
Conor Kane fancied his chances a second time just now after a great through ball from Derek Prendergast. The full back cut in from the flank outside teh box and took aim but with less success this time around with the ball sailing wide of the goal.
Only on the pitch a few minutes and Enda Curran has gone close. Ludden popped the ball in with a long throw from the left. Curran put all his power behind the ball directly in front of goal but he couldn't keep his shot down and it cannoned off the crossbar and out.
Drama here in Galway just now. Jake Hyland was involved in two incidents. The first when he went to simulate getting a headbutt off Shane Duggan after an altercation despite a metres separating the players. Hyland then went down after a seemingly innocuous challenge from Stephen Christopher only for the Galway midfielder to recieve a straight red card from Adriano Reale.
Conor Kane (Drogheda United) scores. The left back nets a worldie for the away side before the half time break. Galway lost the ball in the opposition half and allowed Drogheda break away quickly. Conor Kane struck a speculative effort and managed to beat Schlingermann from 30 yards.
Brandon Bermingham (Drogheda United) scores. Drogheda get their equaliser after aGalway switch off at the back. The ball broke to the unmarked James Brown on the right who played a perfect cross to Bermingham who stroked the ball past Schlingermann to draw the sides level.
Mark Hughes is denied by Schlingermann from clsoe range. Jake Hyland struck the ball from the corner flag and Douglas flicked the ball in to the left side of the goal. Highes reacted as fast as he could but Schlingermann closed him down too quickly and blocked the ball down.
So close from Waweru once again. Lomboto played a perfect ball forward as Waweru looked for the overlap in the middle of the pitch. Waweru tookt he ball deep into the box and his shot was struck the post after a late deflection from Hugh Douglas.
After some chaos in the centre of the field Chris Lyons took control of the ball and chanced his arm at a long distance effort but Schlingermann wasn't troubled by the striker's shot.
Wilson Waweru (Galway United) scores. The young striker scores from a corner-kick by captain Shane Duggan. The ball fell to the front post directly between Wilson and Odumosu with Waweru able to sneak the ball into the bacl of the net.
Galway not happy just now after losing the ball due to referee Adriano Reale blocking the path of Sam Warde in the centre of the park.
A threatening long throw from Marc Ludden bounced through the box in front of goalkeeper Odumosu without a single player getting a touch. A let off for the bisitors.
Schlingermann called into action once again after a cross from the right by Luke Heeney. The goalkeeper had to get low to slap the ball away to take it away from the Drogheda attack.
A long ball in from Conor Kane from the left flank caused a bit of trouble in the Galway box just now. An attempted clearance from Brouder dinked into danger but Schlingermann dealt with the threat.
Almost five minutes in and it's been a hectic start to the game. The visitors have had almost all the position however.
Tim Clancy has two changes to the side that lost 2-0 to Athlone this month. Jack Tuite and James Clarke are out of the starting lineup in place of Brandon Bermingham and Derek Prendergast.
Galway United have made one change to the side that beat Longford Town earlier this month with Francely Lomboto getting the nod over Conor Barry who takes his place on the bench. This is the side's first game back after two Tribesmen tested positive for Covid-19 earlier in October.
It's a big game for both sides tonight. Galway are five points off the playoff spots with three games to go and two games at hand on Cabinteely. Drogheda United are five points off the top of the table with three games to go and a game at hand on leaders Bray Wanderers. Both sides will be desperate to get the three points on this rainy night in Galway.
