Was Whelan's last effort on goal the final chance for UCD to get back in the game? Perhaps it was as the Students have slowly started to struggle to piece together attacks. Bray look comfortable to be fair to them...

Sean McEvoy does well with a shot from deep but Lorcan Healy is more than equal to the danger on hand and UCD do well to clear the danger. It remains UCD 1 - 2 Bray Wanderers...

Luke Boore looked to be in a bit of trouble there and Darragh Lynch went down - It looked like a penalty from where I was but Ray Matthews says no!

Darragh Lynch's flick-on falls into the path of Joe Doyle who fires wide of goal - he really should have at least got that on target!

We are now into injury time of the first-half. I'm not sure how long we have left in this half...

UCD's Liam Kerrigan goes on a great burrowing run through the Bray Wanderers defence but he skies his effort well over the bar after falling into his shot somewhat. He should have done more with that...

Gary SHaw goes close for the visitors after getting on the end of a Joe Doyle through ball but Lorcan Healy does well to beat the ball away from danger as UCD survive. You get the feeling that this next goal is going to be crucial....

Gary Shaw does well to get in behind the UCD defence, bjut his cross is batted away by Lorcan Healy in the UCD goal. He is moving gingerly however after that. I'm not too sure if he will last much longer...

Colm Whelan turns Aaron Barry and goes mightily close but the ball goes straight at Brian Maher. Yoyo Mahdy then sees the rebound come to him but his header is turned away somehow by Maher in the Bray goal. That was a real let-off for Bray on that occasion...

Evan Weoire sends in a ball from deep to try and find either Yoyo Mahdy or Colm Whelan but the ball has too much on it and Brian Maher collects with ease. Bray remain in control of the game this evening...

I can only assume that Jack Keaney has been put in the central defence to deal with Gary Shaw - but even at that I'm not too sure of the ex-Sligo man playing there. Perhaps I will be proven wrong...

Interestingly, Jack Keaney is being used as a central defender in the absence of Josh Collins. This has been far from an ideal performance so far from the Students...

Better from UCD as Paul Doyle goes clsoe with a shot from distance but it is deflected wide from Brian Maher's goal. UCD need to do a bit more of this if they are to get back into the game...

Bray Wanderers are camped inside the UCD half of the pitch and they look like they could score wiyth each attack they come up with.. Luka Lovic is the next to go close but Lorcan Healy saves well - although it was straight at him to be fair..

BRAY HIT THE POST! 

What a start this has been from the Seagulls who see Gary Shaw's shot crash off the post following a Dylan Barnett free-kick into the penalty area. Bray Wanderers have strated like a house on fire here! 

We will have a minute's silence for the late Michael Hayes. May he Rest in Peace.

UCD have not defeated Bray Wanderers at home in their previous four attempts, with their most recent win over the Seagulls at the Bowl coming in 2012.

Gary Cronin’s Bray Wanderers have the best defensive record in this year’s First Division, conceding 14 goals in the same number of games.

UCD have lost their last two league games at home – the first was against Galway United while their most recent defeat at the UCD Bowl came against Drogheda United.
