Jack Malone (Derry City) is booked for pulling back Danny Lafferty in front of the Derry City bench.

Jack Byrne plays it into Graham Burke who from 35 yards shoots and finds the side net.

Rovers break and Jack Byrne and Graham Burke feed the ball wide left to Aaron McEneff and he hits a low shot just millimetres wide of the post.

Great pressure by Derry puts the Hoops at their own corner flag and an awful pass from Lee Grace allows sub Gerardo Bruna shoot but Pico Lopes blocks the shot.

Should be 1-0 to the Hoops as Graham Burke's effort with the outside of his left boot off an Aaron McEneff pass comes back off the post. It comes to Jack Byrne on the edge of the area but his driven effort hits Graham Burke! Declan Devine won't be happy with Conor Clifford's loose pass in defence that coughed up that chance.

Liam Scales comes forward but loses the ball and then fouls Jack Malone.

Really loose pass from Danny Lafferty and with Alan Mannus out of position, Jack Malone has chance to score but Pico Lopes does superbly to get back and take it by the post for a corner.

Danny Lafferty takes an age to take a throw but he plays it into Dean Williams' chest back to Graham Burke and Lafferty overlaps but it is another poor cross from the former Northern Ireland international.

Jack Byrne (Shamrock Rovers) takes the first corner-kick of the game after Aaron McEneff's shot took a touch to go behind. Lee Grace gets his head on it but he can't direct it on the South Stand goal.

Jack Byrne puts a looping cross in towards Dean Williams but Peter Cherrie comes and punches the ball cleanly but gathers Danny Lafferty on the way down. He needs treatment but looks like he is okay. He is on the sideline.

Aaron McEneff lets fly from outside the box but Peter Cherrie is happy to dive without extending his hands.

Loose touch from Ronan Finn and as ball goes away from him he dives in on Ciaran Coll. Free to Derry City but no yellow card.

Lovely spell of passing from Rovers there which ended with Danny Lafferty putting a cross in from the left that goes over Peter Cherrie's goal.

Interesting to see Dean Williams play the defence splitting pass to Jack Byrne who races in on goal. He doesn't try a shot but squares it towards Williams but Derry clear.

Having played in the middle of midfield away to Finn Harps and home to St. Patrick's Athletic, Ronan Finn is back in his right wing back role as Sean Kavanagh is on the bench.

Two ex-Derry men in the home team lineup with Danny Lafferty left wing back and Aaron McEneff in the midfield. Conor McCormack is an ex-Rovers player who was in the Rovers team prior to this season who last won the title (in 2011).

Flat back four for Derry and a back three for the Hoops.

Rovers are unbeaten in 23 domestic games - their best run since a 31 game unbeaten since that ended in 1957. They’ve conceded just one goal in their last nine league games. 

It has been a while since Derry City's last game. That was a 2-0 home win against Shelbourne on 23 October. There is one change from that match with Darren Cole coming in for Colm Horgan. 

Four changes for their Hoops from Wednesday's scoreless draw. Joey O'Brien is suspended and Rhys Marshall, Sean Kavanagh and Aaron Greene are on the bench. In comes Danny Lafferty, Pico Lopes and Dean Williams come into Stephen Bradley's starting XI.

Derry City are back from their 14-day isolation period and it is a busy conclusion to the league campaign for both sides who will play their final game in the league on Monday evening.
