Almost a second for Shelbourne!! Substitute Dayle Rooney picks up the ball on the left and finds the early run of Dobbs with a perfectly timed through ball. Dobbs does well with his touch but Clarke does even better and clears the danger
Chris Forrester attempts a low drive towards goal but Jack Brady has it under control and again saves well
Another sublime delivery by Sheppard is met with a powerful Aaron Dobbs header with the striker seeing his effort come crashing off the crossbar.
Rory Feely receives a second yellow card and is sent off for St. Patrick's Athletic. Huge moment in the second half as Rory Feely picks up his second yellow of the game and St. Pats are down to ten men. Can Shelbourne get that all important second goal?
St. Pats are pushing hard for a leveller here with McClelland going close moments ago, Brady did very well with the save to deny the Pats midfielder
Sustained pressure from Pats gives Billy King a good chance to test Brady in the Shels goal. The ball falls to him on the edge of the box and he strikes it well but Brady is sharp and saves well.
Again the composure that Shels have showed so much of in the opening half has just gone missing in the last ten minutes. They can't keep hold of the ball at all and are just about containing St. Pats at the moment
Shelbourne are under a lot of pressure in the last ten minutes with Pats finishing the half the better side. A Jason McClelland cross almost falls to the feet of Forrester in the box but it's nicked off his toe by Oscar Brennan just in time. Shelbourne will be happy to see half time
Jaze Kabia has been very lively in this opening half. Running at Bermingham and asking him questions down the right fir Shels
Gary Deegan is booked for Shelbourne. The midfield enforcer is shown a yellow after a heavy tackle on the tricky Forrester
Ian Morris will be happy with his sides intensity and pressure they are putting on St. Pats, not allowing them any time at all on the ball and their work rate is paying off greatly. A long way to go but an encouraging start
Jaze Kabia scores for Shelbourne. Shelbourne have been putting strong pressure on the St. Pats rearguard and the pressure has paid off. Sheppard's corner is met with a powerful header from Kabia who puts the home side in front after twenty two minutes.
Chris Forrester has started the game very brightly, being well marked but is looking sharp and calling for the ball a lot
The tackles are flying in here in Tolka with no room for error at all across the pitch. A great urgency being shown by both sides early on.
Forrester's lay off for Markey allows Markey to take a pot shot at goal. Slight panic from Brady but he was never troubled and gathers the ball
Rory Feely is booked for St. Patrick's Athletic. Feely commits a second foul in a matter of seconds and doesn't get away with it this time. Booked by Sean Grant,
Sheppard's corner finds it's way all the way across the box to Daniel O'Reilly at the back post but the defender is stretching and can't keep his effort on target. A good spell for Shels
Shels with another corner after good pressure from Gary Deegan on the edge of the box
Shels starting to settle into the game now. A fantastic corner from Sheppard to the back post leaves Oscar Brennan to take a touch and cut the ball back for Farrell but he hasn't got the time to get the ball under control and Pats clear the ball from danger
Chris Forrester chips in a free kick onto the head of Hale who loops his header goalwards but see's his effort just clear the crossbar
Decent start for the away side with Chris Forresters attempted shot at goal deflected out for the games first corner
