A free kick from Harkin runs all the way through to Hyland, who manages to grasp it at the second attempt.
Four minutes to be added here.
Harps go close as Rovers fail to clear a cross and it drops to Funston, whose shot from the edge of the box is deflected just wide.
Killian Brennan curls a free kick just over the bar from wide on the right. A few of his teammates would have preferred him to cross.
It appears the assistant referee spotted a trip off-the-ball from McCabe after Anthony Buttimer had refused to stop play as McCabe went down with a head injury.
McCabe goes down holding his head after getting in the way of a Gary
Harps were going to bring on Kevin McHugh for Dave Scully, but now Michael Funston is down injured so they're reconsidering.
A half-chance for Adam Hanlon as he shoots from the edge of the box. but it's easy for Hyland.
Rovers should be back in front as McCabe finds Clarke free in the box, but the winger's shot from 12 yards zips wide.
As mentioned earlier, Rovers hadn't conceded in any of the eight games in which they scored this year... until now.
Harps have ann opportunity to threaten with a free kick in a decent position, but Gareth Harkin drills his free kick too high for McNulty to get his head on.
Another good save from Gallagher denies Shaw.
Rovers try to reply immediately as McCabe forces a good save from Gallagher, before Clarke sees his shot blocked by McMonagle.
David Scully scores for Finn Harps. And, from nowhere, Harps equalise as Scully glances a header past Hyland.
Rovers straght back on the attack as Killian Brennan finds Gary McCabe with a lovely pass down the right, and Packie Mailey has to be alert to cut out his cross.
More handbags at half-time as Dave Scully is booked for an off-the-ball kick on Rob Cornwall, and Killian Brennan and Pat Fenlon take exception. The game has been a bit flat as Harps simply look to keep the scoreline down, but that might just be the spark it needs for the second half.
What a save from Ciaran Gallagher! Terrific ball over the top from McPhail for Gary Shaw; the striker takes it first time on the volley and Gallagher is at full-stretch to tip it around the post.
Harps were out of their half for a moment there. Which is progress.
Shaw again goes close as Madden crosses from deep and the striker attempts to flick it with his instep, but he can't wrap his foot around the ball.
A bit of handbaggage as Killian Brennan takes exception to a challenge from Ciaran Coll, and they square up, but nothing comes of it.
Shaw gets in behind the defence and tries to cross for Clarke, but Coll scramble the ball away. Rovers putting the squeeze on, as Clarke has another effort curl wide from the edge of the box.
Miele has a crack from the edge of the box but he gets under it and it flies a long way over.
Tempo's dropped a few notches here as Harps look to get on the ball a bit more.
Portsmouth player of the season Enda Stevens is here in attendance. I bet he's glad he chose this game over his other former side at Dalymount...
First bit of threatening play from Harps sees Ethan Boyle do well to get a cross in from Michael Funston's overhit pass, but it's too high for Dave Scully.
More incisive play from Rovers sees McCabe play in Madden down the right, and he pulls back from Miele, but the Tallaght man's strike is too casual and he turns it round the post with the goal gaping.
Harps are defending very deep but Rovers continue to pick through them with ease. Gary McCabe forces a routine stop from Gallagher with a shot from 20 yards.
Dean Clarke finds his way in behind the Harps defence and pulls the ball back across goal, but Miele is denied a chance by a timely interception from McNulty.
I'm not saying Finn Harps are going to lose, but I am saying that Rovers haven't conceded a goal in any of their eight league wins this season.
Rovers fans spend the eighth minute chanting not for Gary Shaw, but for striker Mikey Drennan, who has recently taken time off football to deal with depression.
Gary Shaw scores for Shamrock Rovers. After Ciaran Gallagher spilled a backpass and let it out for a corner, Shaw has all the time in the world to nod in Brandon Miele's set piece.
A half-chance for Harps as Tommy McMonagle's diagonal ball finds Damien McNulty inside the box, but the defender's volley is charged down by Sean Heaney.
It's going to be a tiring afternoon for Harps' left-back Ciaran Coll. Not only is being asked to defend deep, he's also been charged with running up front and competing for Harps kick-outs.
First chance for Rovers as Brandon Miele cuts open Harps' six-man defence to play in Dean Clarke, but Ciaran Gallagher does brilliantly to narrow the angle and save both his initial attempt and two further efforts to scramble it in.
There's a stag party from the UK here. Oh boy.
Free kicks galore in the opening stages as both sides look to get into the thick of it early. Rovers kicking into the car park end first half.
