MATCH INFO
Competition: 2022 League of Ireland Premier Division
Date: 7:45 p.m. May 20, 2022
Venue: Dalymount Park
Referee: John McLoughlin
Attendance: Unknown
Thats it from Patrick O' Connor at Dalymount Park , hope you enjoyed the live updates .
A good win at home for Bohs, they started brightly but seem to become disjointed in the latter stages of the first half after losing Twardek and Packman through injury.
They did come out firing on all cyclinders in the second half and fully deserved their two goals from Devoy and Junior.
They created enough chances to be further ahead and had a nervy last five minutes after Sligo pulled goal back but overall they were worthy winners and now leap frog Sligo into fifth place in the table.
FULL TIME!
Yellow Card
Corner for Sligo, McGinty goes up, its a good corner but eventually cleared
Yellow Card
5 mins added time
That goal has probably come too late for Sligo, although there are five mins injury time to play
A superb left footed strike from substitute Adam McDonnell , sweet and low into the bittom corner, Talbot hardly moved , great goal !
GOAL!
Substitution
Substitution
Its all Bohs here now after the insurance second goal, Sligo have lost the midfield battle and they certianly are devoid of ideas up front
Yellow Card
ASSIST!
GOAL!
Substitution
Substitution
Substitution
Dawsons goal was a cracker , powerful shot from inside the box that gave McGinty no chance
Substitution
GOAL!
Bohs really applying the pressure , Sligo struggling to get out of their own half
Great cross from Flores to Dawson , he hits it first time but its well over the bar- the home side certainly look the more dangerous going forward
Sligo win a free, Bolger floats it into the box where Buckley gets a header on it, it has no power however and Talbot claims it easily
Cross field pass from Flores, he finds Coote whose shot is off target
SECOND HALF
HALF TIME
Junior outmuscles Buckley in the box but screws his shot wide, that was a half chance or Bohs
3 mins added time
Corner to Sligo, Its parried to safety by Talbot
Yellow Card
Bolger is off the pich with a nose bleed, he got a whack of the ball in his face from a teammate
Shane Blaney is now down injured, he is walking gingerly to the sideline but goes back on without looking 100 %
Good passing move by Bohs, Coote to Murphy, his cross reaches Junior but his shot is straight at McGinty
Substitution
Another Bohs player has gone down injured , this time its Sam Packman, he is also having to go off
Karl O' Sullivan tries his luck from distance but its well over the top
Coote is through on goal but Blaney does really well to get in a tackle
Substitution
Twardek is down holding his leg, does not look good for the Canadian and Bohs are getting a sub ready
The front three for Bohs,Twardek, Junior and Omochere are causing lots of problems for the Sligo defence
Corner to Bohs, Twardek flashes a powerful header off the bar and its cleared by Sligo, best chance so far
Bohs on the front foot early in the game, they are testing Ed McGinty with crosses as he has the low sun in his eyes but he has coped well so far.
Omochere goes down in the box, Bohs fans look for a penalty but Rob Hennessy is not having any of it.
First corner to Sligo, it bobbles around the box but ends up in the safe hands of James Talbot in goals
GAME ON!
There is one change in the line up of the match officials tonight, with Fourth Official Rob Hennessy taking the whistle from the appointed referee John McLoughlin, not sure why this change was made.
Its a dry bright evening in Dalymount Park ,but with a stiff breze blowing down the pitch, left to right from the main stand
Keith Long makes two changes to the team that lost 3-1 to Dundalk last weekend. Kris Twardek and Junior start in place of Ali Coote and Liam Burt
Two changes on the Sligo Rovers team from the game against St Patrick's Athletic last weekend.
Colm Horgan and Robbie McCourt come into the starting team in place of Lewis Banks and Paddy Kirk.
There are also two former Rovers players starting for Bohs tonight, Junor and Kris Twardek.
Good evening and welcome to Dalymount Park for tonight's Premier Division clash between Bohemians and Sligo Rovers .
I'm Patrick O' Connor and I'll be bringing you Extratime.ie's live updates on all tonight's action.
