Great goal for the home side here inth e last few minutes as Keating nodded the ball back to his teammate with the midfielder unleashing a lvoely clean strike into the bottom left corner from distance.
Huge let off here as Dennison and Whelan ran for the ball. The goalkeeper got there but smacked the ball staright at the striker giving him an open goal. Referee Oliver Moran blew his whistle though, as Whelan was judged toh ave handled the ball

UCD nearly equalised shortly after just now with a Paul Doyle free-kick finding a Galway head in the box but that defensive header went goalward - they are only lucky Dennison was in the right place to stop the ball on the line.
Apologies for the slow update. That goal was scored in bizarre fashion - a long ball upfield from Brouder looked detined for Healy's hands only for the 'keeper to drop the ball into Waweru's path who stroked the ball home for the lead.
Doyle's free-kick causes no trouble and sails wide of the goal
Sam Todd was the player receiving treatment. He's back up and it looks like he'll continue for now at least.
There's a break in play here in Galway at the moment with a UCD player down getting treatment. Both squads are taking the opportunity to take water.
Neither set piece came to anything...Galway had a quick break after defending the corner but UCD cancelled them out once again.
Higgins nearly scored against his former club after a short cross frm Whelan but the ball bobbled just wide of Luke Dennison's goal
Again Hurley can't cause any trouble with his free-kick and Healy calims the ball.
Nothing comes of the free-kick and Lorcan Healy easily takes the ball into his hands.
Huge scarefor the home side now after Liam Kerrigan managed to sneak by Nugent at the edge of the box. O'Keeffe madea a last ditch attempt and slid in to dispossess the midfielder in the box - with a perfect tackle to deny the visitors.
Doyle plays it short to Kerrigan who initially beats Rowe before playing out to Doyle once again. The midfielder chances a cross but it floats to the oposite side of the field for a throw.
Doyle's free is struck high and eventually floats right beyond the box and out for a goalkick
UCD are getting their feet to the ball more often after the opening ten minutes but it's Galway who have gone closest at this point.
Corner just now from Mikie Rowe but Sam Todd makes the intervention again and heads the ball clear.
Galway go close in the opening minutes with Wilson Waweru heading the ball down in the box for Rowe who practically has an open goal only for Sam Todd who got his body int he way to block the shot.
David Hurley swings the ball inin fact but UCD hea the ball to safety.
