Extratime Bets - FAI Cup Round Two

Credit:

The FAI Cup is usually best avoided from a betting point of view, but after last week's league success with over 2.5 goals in the Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda clash, I'm ready to give it a whirl.

I'm struggling to find much value in any one team, so with many of the Premier Division sides facing lower opposition, I've gone with a four-team accumulator.

BOHEMIANS have hit a good run of form at the moment and provided manager Aaron Callaghan doesn't make too many changes, they should have far too much for Drumkeen United.

The same applies for UCD who have been handed a home tie with Phoenix and are at a nice price of 1/3, all things considered.

ST PAT'S will be desperate to bounce back to form with a win after their humiliating defeat to Dundalk on Monday night, so mark them down as bankers to take care of Crumlin United.

DROGHEDA UNITED make up the last leg of the accumulator and their promising start to the season should continue with a routine home win over Mayfield United.

Finally, while I wouldn’t be putting them in any accumulators, SD GALWAY may be a bit big at 4/1 to overturn Mervue at home.

Both sides are struggling at the wrong end of the table but in a cup game with home advantage, Tony Mannion's men might just have enough to sneak it.

The Bets:

Accumulator – Bohs 1/4, Drogheda 1/6, UCD 1/3, St Pat's 1/4 (Various) 3pts*

(Possible return for a €30 stake = €72.92)

Single - SD Galway @ 4/1 (Boylesports) 1pt

*Based on 1pt equalling to €10
