A new LOI season means a brand new betting feature from Extratime. Armed with 30 euro, our Extratime.ie duo of Frankie Lally and Andrew Cunneen lay down their suggested bets for the week!

Frankie’s selections

So, it’s finally back and to kick-off my selections this week I’m keeping it pretty simple.

Get your money on SHAMROCK ROVERS to beat Drogheda -1 on the handicap market. The Drogs are without seven first-team players and I can see them really getting a thumping by a Hoops team who will be itching for a strong start.

I also think it could also be a good night for the newly promoted teams, so I've gone for  Monaghan draw no bet at home to a severely weakened Dundalk side and a Cork City win away to UCD.

Finally, for my outright bet I am maxing out on Shamrock Rovers to win the league. Paul Cook leaving Sligo has dented their nearest challengers hopes massively and with the strength and depth in their squad they should win the league at a canter.

Selections:

Shamrock Rovers @ 5/6 (Paddy Power). Single €25

Monaghan DNB @ 5/4 (Paddy Power) & Cork City @ 5/6 ( Paddy Power) -
Double €5

Outrights: Shamrock Rovers to win the league.  @4/5 (William Hill)
10pts

Good luck.

Andrew’s selections

It's that time of year again. My money has been mainly used up on buying things and going places to waste time until tonight. I can be fairly sure the majority of you have done the same. Here's my attempt to get ye a few bob.

Like my counterpart Frankie, I have opted for Shamrock Rovers -1, as well as Limerick under the same terms. The pressure may well be on for the Blues, but their star studded line-up should see off a resistant Finn Harps. Rovers are champions elect and have only Daryl Kavanagh suspended for tonight while their opponents are without a handful of talented footballers.

Cork City are the price of the weekend despite the Students always being tough to break down at the Bowl 5/6. Throw a few quid on here, I reckon it's a winner.

Rory Patterson should find the net tonight. I think Derry to win by two, but just to be safe, take the home win at 4/7.

The final part of my bet is predicting a winning start for Liam Buckley. Having lost Gary Dempsey and Jake Kelly to name a few, a much weaker Bray side travel to Inchicore with little chance of picking up a result. Take Pat's in this one. 2/5

Selections:

Limerick -1 @ 8/15.
Shamrock Rovers -1 @5/6
St. Patrick's Athletic. @2/5
Cork City @5/6
Derry City @4/7
