Hibs swoop for Fenlon

Bohemians have given permission to manager Pat Fenlon to speak to Scottish Premier League side Hibernian, they confirmed on Wednesday evening.

A club statement read: “Bohemian FC confirms that Hibernian FC this afternoon (Wednesday, 23rd November) sought and was given permission to speak to Pat Fenlon about the managerial vacancy at Hibernian.”
 

Speaking to ExtraTime.ie just before the statement was released Fenlon said: “ I have not spoken to them (Hibernian) yet. It’s between the two clubs.
 

“To be honest I don’t know what is going to happen just yet, I think we will have a better idea in the morning.”

The 42-year-old has won everything there is to win in Irish football as a manager and has been linked with a move aboard in the past.

Dundee United had hoped to grab Fenlon back in 2010 but the move broke down as the clubs could not reach a fee for compensation.
