Men’s FAI Cup Draw: Bohemians to take on Shels as Dundalk host Shamrock Rovers

Declan Devine’s Bohemians are set for an FAI Cup rematch against Shelbourne in the first round of the competition next month.

The Gypsies were dumped out of the tournament at Tolka Park last season at the quarter-finals stage thanks to a 3-0 humbling.

But this tie at Dalymount on the weekend of July 23rd gives them an opportunity to atone for that heartache.

And in the other mouth-watering tie of the round, Dundalk will take on Shamrock Rovers at Oriel Park.

The Lilywhites have endured a patchy campaign thus far but will be confident that they can turn over the Hoops at home.

Holders Derry City also host Athlone Town, while 2021 winners St Patrick’s Athletic visit Longford Town.

Drogheda United and Sligo Rovers will play at Weavers Park in an all-Premier Division tie, while League of Ireland new boys Kerry will take on Ringhmahon Rangers.

Cork City will make the short trip to Munster rivals Treaty United, whereas UCD host Cobh Ramblers at the Belfield Bowl.

All ties will be played on the weekend of July 23rd.
