Next Tuesday an additional tranche of tickets will be released for the Women’s World Cup, including tickets for all of Ireland’s group games.

Just under a quarter of million additional tickets will go on sale next week. With all 64 matches having extra tickets on sale then, it means there is the chance for Ireland supporters to get tickets for the Girls in Green group games.

Tickets will go on sale at 1200 AEST / 1400 NZT / 0400 CET on Tuesday, 6 June via FIFA.com/tickets.

“Fans from over 150 different countries have purchased tickets for the tournament,” said FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer, Sarai Bareman. “We can’t wait to see the football world unite in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand next month.”

The latest release of tickets for the tournament will include some obstructed view seats and will be priced at a 50% discount compared to ordinary tickets in the same price category.

Also fans who now cannot attend a match, or matches, for which they purchased tickets can submit some or all of their tickets for resale on the platform on FIFA.com/tickets.

The resale platform also offers fans that have been unable to access tickets for high demand matches at the tournament the possibility of accessing tickets should they be submitted for resale by other fans.

The Girls in Green will be based in Brisbane for the tournament and they are planning a game against another World Cup team Colombia on 14 July in a behind-closed-doors uncapped game.

That will allow the respective managers to use more than seven substitutes during the 90 minutes.

That match will take place in Brisbane’s Meakin Park. Colombia are 26th in the FIFA Women's World Rankings and were drawn into Group H in the World Cup, alongside Germany, Morocco and South Korea. This will be their third World Cup appearance.

The Republic of Ireland will play on the opening day of the tournament against co-hosts Australia in Sydney.

They face Olympic champions Canada in Perth on 26 July before their final group game back in Brisbane five days later against Nigeria.
