Cork City condemn vile abuse aimed at Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley

Cork City have issued a statement to ‘unreservedly condemn’ abuse directed at Shamrock Rovers boss Stephen Bradley on Friday night.

The Hoops boss was targeted with abuse by a ‘handful of individuals’ after Rovers fell to a narrow 1-0 loss away to Cork City.

And in a statement, the Leesiders vowed to work with the relevant authorities to identify those responsible and take appropriate action.

“Cork City FC wish to unreservedly condemn the actions of a handful of individuals who directed disgusting abuse at Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley from outside the stadium shortly after tonight’s match,” it read.

“The club will work with all relevant authorities to identify those involved and take the appropriate action against those involved.

“On behalf of the club, we wish to apologise to Mr Bradley for the actions of these individuals.”
