BRAY WANDERERS

Play-off chasing Bray Wanderers welcome Cobh Ramblers to the Carlisle Grounds on Friday evening as they bid to keep their winning run going.

The Seagulls have claimed two wins on the spin – defeating Finn Harps at home and Kerry away at Mounthawk Park.

But their home clash against the Rams will pose them with a stiff test at their Co Wicklow home.

“We’re on a good run are the minute,” Ian Ryan said this week. “We’re playing well and not conceding goals – and we’re scoring goals.

“We’re going in the game with a bit of confidence. We’re playing OK but I think we can play a bit better. It is a big game for us.

“Cobh have done really well so far this season. So, we know it will be hard. But we’ll be out to put in a good performance.”

Jake Walker remains out for Wanderers, while Zach Donohue, Chris Lyons, Joe Power and Conor Crowley have returned to training.

However, the quartet are unlikely to feature against Cobh.

COBH RAMBLERS

Shane Keegan takes his Cobh side to the Carlisle Grounds for the first time this season as they look to copper-fasten their place in the play-off places.

Ramblers sit just one point behind Bray on 22 points – but are winless in their last two games having drawn to Athlone Town and lost away to Waterford.

But an away trip to Bray gives them an opportunity to move into third spot in the table.

“All the stats say that they’re the team that pass the ball around the most in the division, they’ve more passes played than anybody,” Keegan told the Cork Echo this week.

“They consistently do that, that was Ian Ryan’s stamp on Wexford last year and it’s his stamp on [Bray] this year.”

Cobh have not issued team news for the game yet, but Jack Doherty is expected to remain out having been side-lined with an injury in recent weeks.

Midfielder Pierce Phillips has been hit with the same fate too and is unlikely to feature.

Referee: David Connolly.
