Brighton have announced that five players, including Irish internationals Megan Connolly and Megan Walsh, will be leaving the club when their contracts expire in June.

Connolly, a versatile player known for her leadership on the field, joined Brighton from American college football in 2019 and has since captained the team, making 79 appearances in total. Her contributions have been pivotal in establishing Brighton as a competitive team in the Women's Super League.

Megan Walsh, the Republic of Ireland's goalkeeper, also joined Brighton in 2019 and swiftly established herself as the first-choice keeper. During her tenure, Walsh played 76 times for Albion and earned her full international cap for Ireland.

The duo is part of a quintet of departing players that have made over 400 league and cup appearances for the club. The list also includes Victoria Williams, Kayleigh Green, and Danielle Carter.

Head coach Melissa Phillips expressed gratitude for the players' contributions, saying, "They are all brilliant professionals with a wonderful work ethic. They have been a credit to themselves and the club as they have made a lasting impact on the foundation of Brighton Women’s Football."
