Former Bohemians midfielder Fuad Sule to depart Larne

Ex Bohemians midfielder Fuad Sule will leave Larne when his contract at Inver Park concludes this summer.

Sule, 26, joined the Irish League champions in 2019 having played for Barnet in the English non-league pyramid.

But since moving to the Inver Park side, Sule has claimed promotion from the Championship before winning three County Antrim Shield titles, one Premiership crown and European qualification three seasons in a row.

“We offered Fuad a new contract but he feels he is at the stage of his career where he wants to break into professional football in Great Britain,” Larne boss Tiernan Lynch said.

“I understand that and while we are disappointed to lose him, we wish him well wherever his career takes him next.”

Sule has been joined in the departures lane at Larne by former Ireland under-17 and under-19 international Graham Kelly,

Kelly, 25, made 149 appearances for Larne and also claimed the same honours as Sule at the club after joining from Port Vale in 2018 – following a previous stint with Sheffield United.

“Graham was a top professional throughout his time here and put into practice the education he got at Sheffield United,” Lynch added.

“He applied himself wherever he was asked to play and always got on with it, making him a great player to work with.

“He understandably feels he needs to play more games and that is what he will look to do in his next move. He goes with nothing but best wishes from me and everyone at the club.”

Elsewhere in the Irish League, former Shelbourne attacker Greg Moorehouse has left Portadown.

The 28-year-old played 10 times for the Ports in league action this term – and was also on the books of Glenavon and Warrenpoint Town in the Northern Irish top-flight previously.
