Ireland’s EURO 2024 qualifier with France has been confirmed for the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The Boys in Green will take on the World Cup runners up away on Thursday 7 September and, due the unavailability of the Stade de France due to the Rugby World Cup, the qualifier will take place in the home of PSG.

The rugby tournament begins the night after the football qualifier with the host nation taking on New Zealand in the Stade de France.

With the Parc des Princes capacity below 50,000, compared with the 80,000 seats in the Stade de France, it means there will be significantly less tickets available to travelling Ireland supporters.

Three days after the clash in Paris, Stephen Kenny’s side will host the Netherlands in the Aviva Stadium.

Parc des Princes was a venue during Euro 2016 but the Republic of Ireland haven’t played a competitive game there since 1980.

Kenny has managed at the venue previously when he was in charge of Derry City when the Candystripes lost 2-0 to PSG in 2006.
