Former Bray Wanderers midfielder Vilius Labutis set for US adventure

Former Bray Wanderers midfielder Vilius Labutis has joined FC Tucson in the USL 2.

Labutis, 22, has been playing football in the United States since last year after departing the Seagulls last summer.

He joined the Wanderers just months after Cabinteely and Bray merged as one club in late-2021.

The industrious midfielder featured heavily for the Seagulls during the first half of the campaign.

But he then decided to move to the United States to study and has been carrying out those at the University of Rio Grande.

Vilius came through the underage ranks at Cabinteely and played with their under-17 side in 2017 and 2018.

He also played with the club's under-19 side in 2018 and in 2019 he became part of Pat Devlin's senior squad.

In February 2021, Vilius re-signed with Cabo for 2021 before then joining Bray ahead of the 2022 season.
