Ireland star Katie McCabe faces an anxious injury wait after she picked up an ankle knock in Arsenal’s Champions League quarter-final win against Bayern Munich.
Arsenal will now play in the Champions League semi-finals against Wolfsburg or PSG.
McCabe limped off the pitch in the 89th minute during the Gunners 2-1 aggregate win over the Germans.
She later returned to the pitch to celebrate with her teammates while wearing a protective boot and using crutches.
In a social media post late on Wednesday night, the Ireland winger thanked supporters for their well wishes and confirmed she is set for a scan on Thursday.
She wrote: “Thanks for the kind messages… scan tomorrow [sic].”

News of her injury will come as a blow to Ireland boss Vera Pauw who is set to name her squad for Ireland’s trip to the US on Friday morning at FAI HQ.
The Girls in Green will play the World Cup champions twice next month as preparations ramp up for the 2023 World Cup in Australia.
