Kerry FC have announced their latest additions ahead of their inaugural season in the League of Ireland with Jonathan Hannafin and Graham O’Reilly committing to the club for 2023.

“I'm delighted to sign for Kerry FC and be a part of something very special,” Hannafin said, speaking to the club’s media team.

“To sign for Kerry FC, I feel like I'm representing my own as a proud Kerry man. There's a huge togetherness within the club both on and off the field.

“It can be seen every day at training and within the clubhouse. I am just looking forward to wearing the Kerry FC jersey with pride.”

Hannafin is essentially returning home with the Kerry native having played for Tralee Dynamos in the now defunct A Championship before going on to play for Fairview Ranger, Pike Rovers and Mervue United.

Graham O’Reilly was a member of the Kerry under 19 squad last season as one of their allowed overage players.

The midfielder moved to Kerry from Waterford having progressed through their Academy and captaining their under 19 side as well as making his senior debut for the club at 18 years of age.

“This is a huge opportunity for myself to progress my football with a great club and I’m looking forward to seeing how the season goes and so is all the team,” O’Reilly said.

“Everyone in Kerry FC and the people of Kerry have been very welcoming to me from moving down from Wexford and I greatly appreciate that.”

Kerry begin their season with a home game against Munster rivals Cobh Ramblers on Friday, 17 February.
