Cobh Ramblers swoop for teenager Charlie O’Brien

First Division outfit Cobh Ramblers have unveiled the signing of defender Charlie O’Brien from Leeside rivals Cork City.
O’Brien, 17, is the brother of former Cork City defender Jake O’Brien who is now on the books of Crystal Palace.
Jake also played for Ireland at Under-21 level under Jim Crawford.
But younger sibling Charlie has committed to the cause at St Colman’s Park for the upcoming 2023 campaign.
The 17-year-old has also been on the books of Youghal United and Midleton.
And O’Brien has also played for Cork City at Under-15 and Under-17 level. He remains eligible to play for Ramblers Under-19s this season.
