Scottish defender Josh Kerr departs Bohemians

Former Derry City defender Josh Kerr has confirmed his departure from Bohemians after a short spell at Dalymount Park.

Kerr, 24, joined the Gypsies in June 2022 under previous boss Keith Long.

But after a disappointing season for Bohs, Kerr has confirmed that he has left the club.

“Would like to say a special thank you to Keith Long for bringing me to the club and to the fans for embracing me from day one,” he said after confirming his exit.

“Was looking forward to the future with Bohs but some things don’t work out the way you would like them to. All the best.”

While in Dublin 7, Kerr made five starts for the Gypsies in league action.

But he has opted to move on under new boss Declan Devine as the former Derry City runs the rule on his men at Dalymount Park in pre-season.

Kerr was previously on the books of Derry City in the League of Ireland, playing for the Candystripes in 2019.

That stint was short, however, spending just a season at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.

He has since played for Airdrieonians on Scotland.Former Derry City defender Josh Kerr has confirmed his departure from Bohemians after a short spell at Dalymount Park.
