Chloe Singleton and Shauna Brennan switch to Athlone Town from Galway

Athlone Town have announced the signing of former Galway WFC players Chloe Singleton and Shauna Brennan.

Both featured for Athlone in their first pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon with Singleton scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Sligo Rovers.

Singleton is an attacking midfielder who has been with Galway for the last five seasons, scoring four times last year in 22 league and cup appearances for the Tribeswomen.

Brennan, who plays as a left-sided wing-back, has been a first team player at Galway for the last three seasons. She missed just two of Galway’s 2022 games and hit the net five times in 26 appearances.
