Cobh Ramblers re-sign quartet for 2023

Cobh Ramblers manager Shane Keegan has announced his first four players to re-sign for the club ahead of the 2023 season.

The club had a difficult campaign last year in an extremely tight division.

And despite finishing ninth, they did manage to win silverware via the Munster Senior Cup.

They had to rely on their highly rated underage sides as injuries racked the squad, and are aiming to retain as many of those as possible.

Midfielder Jason Abbott has made over 90 appearances over two spells with the club and winning Munster Senior cups in 2016 and 2022.

He also played with UCC, Cork City and Cobh Wanderers.

Defender Brendan Frahill also came through the under 19 squad. He made his first team debut in 2013 and has amassed over 100 games having re-joined in 2022.

The club have also confirmed the re-signing of duo of Justin Eguaibor and Jake Hegarty.

The club have stated that they expect to announce more members of the squad in due course.

Cobh begin their campaign with a trip to Kerry FC on 17th of February.
