Cork City are set to begin their 2023 League of Ireland Premier Division campaign with a home tie against Bohemians on the opening night.

The Leesiders claimed the First Division title last season to seal their place back in the top-flight for 2023.

But they will be acutely aware that they face a far stiffer challenge next year upon their return.

And on the opening night of the season they face Bohemians.

Meanwhile, FAI Cup holders Derry City visit St Patrick’s Athletic at Richmond Park – while champions Shamrock Rovers take on Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds.

Dundalk also host UCD, while Shelbourne take on Drogheda United at Tolka Park. All opening day fixtures are due to take place on February 17/18.

In the Women’s National League, champions Shelbourne open their defence of the title with a clash versus Cork City.

Returning Shamrock Rovers begin life back in the league with an away trip to Sligo.

Galway United host Wexford Youths, while Treaty United take on Bohemians. Athlone Town host Peamount United – with DLR Waves the idle team.

All fixtures are scheduled to take place on March 4th.

In the First Division, recently relegated Finn Harps will begin life under Dave Rogers as boss with a clash away to Galway United.

Longford Town take on Athlone Town, Bray Wanderers visit Treaty United, and Wexford take on Waterford.

Meanwhile, league new boys Kerry FC will begin life in the League of Ireland with a home clash against Cobh Ramblers.

All opening fixtures in the First Division are set for a February 17/18 start.
