Mitchell Byrne signs for Wexford

Wexford have announced the signing of Mitchell Byrne ahead of the 2022 League of Ireland First Division season.
Byrne signs for Wexford after two seasons with Cabinteely, he made 17 appearances for the South Dublin club last season and scored twice, including the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Cobh Ramblers in May.
The defender began his career with Bohemians and the 21 year old progressed through the Gypsies underage setup before joining Cabinteely in 2020.
Wexford begin their campaign at home to Treaty United on Friday, 18 February (kick-off 7.45pm).
