Wexford Youths have announced the re-signing of Kylie Murphy ahead of the 2022 Women’s National League season.

The WNL Player of the Season for 2021 was a key part of the Wexford squad as they claimed the FAI Cup and finished third in the league last season.

Murphy scored 18 goals in 25 appearances for Youths last season, including the side’s second goal in the FAI Cup Final against Shelbourne and a hattrick against Bohemians last October.

The 33 year old has been with Wexford Youths since the inaugural Women’s National League season in 2011 and she has gone on to make over 200 appearances for the club.

Wexford Youths and Murphy have had great success over the past ten years with four league titles to their name and four FAI Cup wins, with the most recent coming last season.

Youths begin their 2022 campaign away to Athlone Town on Saturday, 5 March.
