DLR Waves have announced the re-signing of Avril Brierly ahead of the 2022 Women’s National League season.

The midfielder scored one goal and played a key part as DLR Waves finished fourth in last year’s WNL.

Brierly began her career with Waves in 2013 before moving to Raheny United ahead of the 2014/15 season.

She went on to sign for Shelbourne when Raheny merged with the Reds in 2015 before returning to DLR Waves in 2018.

After a stint in Canada the 25 year old returned to Dublin to sign for Waves ahead of the 2020 WNL season.

Waves begin their season at home to Treaty United on Saturday, 5 March.
