NIFL Premiership side Warrenpoint Town have announced the signing of Adam Wixted.

Wixted was with Athlone Town last season and he helped the Midlanders to a seventh place finish in the First Division in 2021.

“I am delighted to have secured the services of Adam, he will add a new dimension to our attacking options. Adam is a quality player and one we feel will fit in with and add to the current group,” manager Barry Gray said, speaking to the club’s media team.

The 26 year old began his career with Derby County before returning to Ireland in 2014 to sign for Drogheda United. He has since had spells with Bohemians, Bray Wanderers and Sligo Rovers before his move to the Point.

Warrenpoint are currently bottom of the NIFL Premiership table, four points behind Portadown at the midway point of the season.
