English Women’s Championship side Durham have confirmed the signing of Naoisha McAloon from 2021 Women’s National League runners up Peamount United.

The goalkeeper played a significant role in a hugely successful period for Peamount with the side lifting the WNL title in 2019 and completing a League and Cup double in 2020 during her time with United.

“I’m delighted – it’s a great club to be a part of and I’m really looking forward to getting going and being part of the team,” McAloon said, speaking to the club’s website.

“The standards are so high and the expectations from everyone are really high as well.

“It’s a demanding environment which is really good, and I’ve really enjoyed myself so far.

“Durham are always up there, so I’d love to help as much as I can and I’m looking forward to being a part of it.”

Durham finished as runners up in last year’s Championship and the currently sit in second place in the table just two points behind Liverpool.
