USL Championship club New Mexico United have completed the signing of Will Seymore from Finn Harps.

The 29 year old American is no stranger to football in America as he was drafted 56th overall in the MLS Super Draft by FC Dallas in 2015 after completing his time playing college football at Oregon State.

After his time with teams like Vancouver Whitecaps II, FC Cincinnati, and Reno 1868 in the second tier of American soccer, he completed a move to Sligo Rovers in 2020, where he made nineteen appearances for the club and contributed to their push for qualifying for the Europa Conference League.

Seymore then went on to sign for Finn Harps ahead of the 2021 season, where he made thirty three appearances for the Ballybofey side as well as scoring two goals for the club, with one coming against Drogheda United in a 3-1 defeat and the other coming in the sides 5-0 victory in the final game of the season against Longford Town.

New Mexico United’s Head Coach and Technical Director Zach Prince told the club’s media, “the way Will covers ground makes him a dynamic addition to our midfield group, his energy, coupled with his ability to make the opponent work with his range of passing is going to make him an exciting addition to our group.”
