Finn Harps have confirmed the re-signing of goalkeeper Mark Anthony McGinley for the 2022 League of Ireland season.

The 31-year-old was an important player for the Donegal side making 33 appearances last year.

He joined Harps in 2019 from UCD and has become a key player in Ollie Horgan’s team, winning the clubs player of the year award in 2019 and 2020. In Mcginley’s 73 appearances for Harps he has kept 21 clean sheets.

The Ards native told the club’s website, “We’ve tried to kick on bit by bit since I rejoined the club in 2019 and hopefully we can keep that going now into the next year.

“It’ll be a tough division again with Shelbourne and UCD coming up but we definitely showed that we’re capable of mixing it with anyone last season so I’m excited to get back now in January.”
