WNL Team of the Year unveiled with Wexford Youths claiming five spots

After winning the FAI Cup and player of the match in the final Ellen Molloy misses out on the upcoming Ireland games due to injury

The Women’s National League Team of the Year has been announced with Wexford Youths having the most representation with five players listed.

Lauren Dwyer, Aoibheann Clancy, Ciara Rossiter, Ellen Molloy and Kylie Murphy, all made it on to the Team of the Year having helped their side finish third in this year’s WNL.

Two players each from the WNL Champions Shelbourne, and runners up Peamount United joined the Youths players with the Reds’ Ciara Grant and Jessie Stapleton and Peas’ Áine O’Gorman and Karen Duggan included.

Rounding out the squad are DLR Waves’ goalkeeper Eve Badana and Galway’s Savannah McCarthy.
