DLR Waves have made their first move in the offseason with the announcement that Republic of Ireland international Eve Badana has re-signed with the club for the 2022 Women’s National League season.

The goalkeeper was in fine form throughout the 2021 campaign with ten clean sheets from her 24 appearances for Waves in the WNL as they finished in an impressive fourth place.

The 28 year old had a hand in deciding where this year’s title went too as a penalty save to hold Peamount United to a scoreless draw in their second last game of the season ultimately put them in a position to be pipped to the title by Shelbourne on the last day of the season.

Her performances earned her a recall to Vera Pauw’s Republic of Ireland international team with the goalkeeper appearing on the bench for the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers against Finland and Sweden.

Badana is entering her third season with Waves having signed for the club in 2019. She also previously played for Cork City in the Women’s National League.
