McLoughlin joins up with Republic of Ireland squad

Central Connecticut Blue Devils midfielder Roma McLaughlin has been called into the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team squad for their 2023 World Cup qualifiers.

McLaughlin, who previously played for Peamount United and Shelbourne before moving to the USA, replaces Kyra Carusa who picked up a knock while playing for HB Koge in Denmark. Carusa had scored in a win over KoldingQ before being subbed off.

The Republic of Ireland take on Sweden in Tallaght Stadium on Thursday at 7pm before travelling to Finland for a game on Tuesday, 26 October at 4:15pm.

The revised squad is as follows:
