Under-14 Quarter-Final line-ups confirmed

The draw for the Under-14 National League and Shield Quarter-Finals has taken place.

After the weekend results, Derry City have topped League Group A with a 100% record. Mayo have finished second with Pats taking 3rd spot. Cabinteely have claimed the last place in the quarter-finals with UCD missing out.

In League Group B, Galway United and Shamrock Rovers have finished on the exact same points, goals for, goals against and W/D/L record. As a result lots were drawn and the Hoops claimed 1st place.  Cork City finished 3rd due to better goal difference over Cobh Ramblers in 4th. Bohemians miss out on the Quarter-Finals.

As a result, the League Quarter-Final line-up is as follows:

Quarter Final 1 – Derry City (Winners Group A) -v- Cobh Ramblers (4th place Group B)

Quarter Final 2 – Shamrock Rovers (Winners Group B)-v- Cabinteely (4th place Group A)

Quarter Final 3 - Galway United (Runners Up Group A) -v- St Patrick’s Athletic (3rd place Group B)

Quarter Final 4 – Mayo (Runners Up Group B) -v- Cork City (3rd place Group A)

In the Shield, Finn Harps completed Group A with a 100% record, scoring 18 goals and only conceding two. Dundalk finished second ahead of Shelbourne on goal difference in third.

Bray Wanderers topped Group B with Klub Kildare second. In Group C, Wexford finished leaders with nine points with Waterford narrowly pipping Treaty United to second thanks to having a goal difference of three over Treaty’s two.



The top three of each group progress to the Quarter-Finals with two best placed runners-up. In this case Shelbourne and Treaty United progress with their seven points tally.

As a result, the Shield Quarter-Final line-up is as follows:

Quarter Final 1 – Finn Harps (Winners Group A) -v- Kulub Kildare (2nd place Group B)

Quarter Final 2 – Bray Wanderers (Winners Group B)-v- Treaty United (3rd place Group C)

Quarter Final 3 - Wexford (Winners Group C) -v- Dundalk (2nd place Group B)

Quarter Final 4 – Waterford (2nd Place Group C) -v- Shelbourne (3rd place Group A)
